Rubber Trout Huh?

I saw this yesterday, and I just had to post it.

The first thing I thought of was, as the title indicates, was that this gentleman has a rubber trout. Since this plate was on an SUV, the only thing I can think of is that the vehicle is a "Rubber Trout Enhancer" but I dare not ponder the implications of that.

Son of Rolo?

I know it's been awhile, dear readers, so here's a recent sighting:

As best as I can tell, this guy's dad invented Rolos candy. Mmmm, those chocolate-covered chunks of caramel heaven. That might not be a bad gig, having your dad invent candy for a living. I bet you get to eat the failures too, as long as dad brings his work home with him (I know I would, that way you'd be the most popular dad on the block).

I Want Some Crap Too...

Saw this on a car, and the first thing I thought of was "Crap? Gimmie!"

It's probably not that, though. I mean, everybody gets enough crap, especially when you have a dumb as dirt vanity plate on your car.

Racoon Heaving?

Saw this on a car the other day:

What fun is it to throw racoons? I imagine they'd try to bite and scratch and kick, and in general, try to maim you. I guess you could sedate them, but that seems like it might take all the fun out of it.

Maybe you could use some device to make with the heaving... Naw, now we're just being silly.

The Genesis of Hail The Fork

Have you ever looked at someone's vanity plate and asked, "What are you saying man?!?"

Welcome to Hail The Fork.

There have been many times that I've sped up or slowed down to catch another glimpse of a vanity plate that I just can't figure out. Sometimes I get it, others, well, let's just say that I tend to 'figure it out' on my own. Sometimes, I don't quite get it right.

Hence the name of this particular niche on the web. I saw a plate similar to this:

I read it as: 'Hail The Fork' (maybe I was hungry). My wife correctly (presumably) read it as 'Health Freak'. Just a little different from the plate I was reading.

I'll post new plates as I see them. In the future, I may solicit contributions. Let's see where this takes us, shall we?
